Frequently Asked Question

Depending on the profile verification steps you’ve completed, your ChainEX profile may be on one of three levels:

1. Level 0
2. Level 1 or
3. Level 2

Completing the Level 2 Verification process will assist ChainEX with securing your account and increasing your trading and withdrawal limits. Click here for more information on our trading and withdrawal limitations.

In order to complete the Level 2 verification process, you will be required to upload the following documents to ChainEX:

1. A copy of your ID or Passport Document.
2. A clear photo of yourself holding said ID or Passport Document along with a piece of paper with the word "ChainEX" and today's date.
3. A clear copy of your proof of residence eg. Bank Statement, Municipal counselor's letter, Utility bill, etc. and,
4. Complete the online Compliance Questionaire

Before we can verify your account, we will need you to answer and complete the online Compliance Questionaire. These are a few questions that are required for FICA compliance. This is due to the ever-changing regulatory landscape that ChainEX has to comply with, which is also to the benefit of your interest and security.

It is very important that the names on the ID or Passport Document match the names you used to register on ChainEX.

Also, it is very important that you use the correct Proof of Residence and that the FICA Compliance Questions are 100% honestly correctly answered.

To reach Level 2 verification, follow these steps:

1. Log in to ChainEX (chainex.io)
2. As soon as you are logged in, the Verification Level 2 Process will be displayed.
3. Select your Issue Country - this is the country you were born in - the country that reflects on your ID or Passport Document.
4. Select your Document Type.
5. Enter your Document Number.
6. Select your Country of Residence - this is the country you are currently living in.
7. Fill out the rest of your address information.
8. Select Next.
9. You will be redirected to the Verification Level 2 dialog.
10. Select Start.
11. Upload a clear copy of your ID or Passport Document.
12. Upload a clear photo of yourself holding said ID or Passport Document along with a piece of paper with the word "ChainEX" and today's date.
13. Upload a clear copy of your proof of residence eg. Bank Statement, Municipal counselor's letter, Utility bill, etc. For more information on the acceptable proof of residence. Click here 
14. After clicking on Next, you will be directed to the FICA Compliance Questions
15. You will answer all of the questions honestly. 
16. Once you are done, confirm your Verification Level 2 submission by selecting Next.

Your verification request has now been submitted for approval. You will be notified via email once it has been completed.

The Verification Level 2 reviewing process can take up to 48 hours to be completed.

Once you have passed the Verification Level 2 process, you will gain 100% full access to the ChainEX system.

PLEASE NOTE - That you won't be able to use the ChainEX system without completing level 2 verification and submitting their Compliance question responses. You are allowed to make use of the ChainEX system on Verification Levels 0 and 1 but at a limited rate. 

If you wish to make full use of the ChainEX system, then please complete the Verification Level 2 process.
