Frequently Asked Question

Are the ZAR Markets Opened to Anyone?

Last Updated a year ago

The ZAR market and ZAR wallet are available to all users in South Africa and internationally, with the exception of a limited number of countries that are prohibited from accessing the ChainEX platform. If you are uncertain whether your country is among those prohibited, please refer to the following link for further clarification. - "Are there any countries that are blocked from using ChainEX?"

Upon registering for ChainEX, it may come to your attention that the ZAR market and ZAR wallet are not immediately accessible. The reason for this is straightforward - profile verification. Until you achieve full verification status, your account will have limited transaction capabilities.

After attaining full profile verification, both South African and international users can access the following:

  • ZAR Markets
  1. Conduct trades, either buying or selling, on the ZAR markets.
  • ZAR Wallets
  1. Perform ZAR deposits.
  2. Perform ZAR withdrawals (with certain restrictions).
